Choose the Right Vendors
Choose the right Vendors to aid in decor costs
To get the most bang for your buck, it is so important to select the right vendors. Do your research and use great local resources, such as @Nashville Bride Guide if you are a Nashville bride and unsure of where to begin. Plan which questions ahead of time to ask your vendors. Knowing the right things to ask can help save you big. For example, some DJs have lighting they can include in their pricing to alleviate your need of purchasing additional lighting for the dance floor, and some florists, such as Geny’s Flowers, have candles and center piece options they can discuss with you. Knowledge is power, my friends.
Subscribe to vendor newsletters
A lot of my ‘friendors’ (vendor friends) utilize connecting with their clients via email. I am a huge fan of staying in touch with your vendors through email blasts from a gathering ideas basis… to catching any discounts they may offer. If your wedding is during an off-season month, be sure to keep an eye out for any discounts offered, from dress boutiques to venues alike. Plus, you’ll always be in the loop and up-to-date on any latest details.
Choose what is best for YOU
You are given recommendations left and right almost immediately after announcing your engagement. While a good recommendation from a good friend should never be taken lightly, I advise you to remember that there is not one band or one photographer or one venue that is perfect for every bride getting married. There are so many great options available. Make appointments and have conversations with various vendors. A genuine connection will mean a positive planning experience for you.
