Hey readers! Last week we began the discussion of catering… what to consider before booking, to think of the big picture when booking catering and how your guest list plays a giant part in all of the above. This week, I am happy to bring you inside advice from local catering professional, Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe.

I sat down with Olivia Bane and Lindsay Curtis from Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe to gather some great, useful information for all of you planning a wedding. They can provide many tailored options for your wedding cocktail hour and reception needs.

Olivia with Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe says, “We begin every conversation by asking the vision for the wedding and the level of service that is expected.” Remember friends, selecting that overall style and then finalizing that budget are the first things you should do when planning, and Olivia’s comment here speaks truth to that.

“It is important to know that the more service that is incorporated the higher dollar the event will be,” says Olivia. “We anticipate that a served buffet service is about 20% of the cost of goods in labor. We highly recommend this option for a semi-formal wedding.” Couples, if you are still deciding on the mood of your wedding, you can visit our guide here (link https://genysflowersandbridal.com/genys-blog2/2018/11/5/budget-before-you-book) to determine what is best for your wedding.

Remember, it is always best to plan ahead and do your research when selecting the vendors best for you. Olivia Bane with Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe says “You can find incentives with most wedding vendors for booking 6-9 months in advance.”

Brides! Planning Ahead = Budget Friendly!

Looking for tips on exactly what to serve at your wedding celebration? The Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe experts say to stick to this rule. “Limit yourself to 2 or 3 appetizers and entree options. Guests become full and overwhelmed with selections faster than you realize.”
